November Update

These students are called to ministry: Julian to broken people, Audrey to prayer and children’s ministry, and Parker to evangelism. Julian helps lead worship and loves mission work. Audrey works in the children’s ministry and leads her campus club. Parker boldly gave a great testimony at Field of Faith and shares his faith regularly with friends. They are a few of the students that my home church, Declaration Church in Spring, Texas, allows me to invest in as they become future ministry leaders. Our Campus Missionary group is not just studying how to influence their world, they have gone with me to train other students and do ministry as well. Personal discipleship and mentoring are important to me and I’m grateful for these students and a church that prioritizes the next generation. Curriculum writer and missions-loving friend, Taylor Johnson, helps me with the group.

I took part of our small group to Anchor Bend Church in Rosenberg to serve and help train 50 leaders and students in Dare2Share gospel conversations. The students and leaders were highly engaged, and five students came to Christ. Good friend and Network leader, Alexis Alamia invited us. She also leads our “Pray for Gen Z” Zoom call and podcast every Wednesday.

We promoted Dare 2 Share LIVE all over Texas and on November 11, they held training at 1700 plus sites in 72 countries training students and leaders in Gospel sharing. Dare2Share founder Greg Stier and staff member, Greg Tull of Dare 2 Share, were in Houston mid-month and had dinner with Carol and I. It’s always an encouraging and uplifting time.

Other Highlights:

Our Campus Summit webinar (in which I serve as a planning team member) was a great success. Special thanks to Burleson friend and FBC Youth Pastor, Daniel Morrow, for being a guest speaker.

I was honored to represent Interlinc, the organization for which I write Bible studies related to Christian and Pop music at the three-day NYCY Conference in Indianapolis. We screened the new “For King and Country” movie, helped with their concert at the conference, and engaged hundreds of students and leaders.

Our Campus Connections: Field Guide to Campus Ministry project, along with “Awesome Way To Pray” are live at www.campusconnections.info. CC will be released as blogs at first, then become a free e-book to equip youth leaders. It’s been an incredible blessing to work with friend and author, Barry St. Clair, NNYM leaders, Chris Renzelman, Kevin Miles, and author/writer Chris Tiegreen to produce these vitally needed resources.

May God richly bless you and your family this Holiday season as we celebrate Immanuel: God With Us.

Your support, prayers, and love have helped me accomplish more than I could ever cover in a simple newsletter. Know that I love and deeply appreciate you, my friends, and partners in ministry.
