October Update
Celebrating Milestones and Looking Ahead in Ministry
Hey there dear friends and ministry partners!
As I share the latest updates and milestones from the NNYM Texas journey, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude for your unwavering support.
Your prayers and encouragement have been a source of strength, and your continued financial support empowers us to connect with Texas youth leaders and communities to make a Kingdom impact.
I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for walking this path with Carol and me.
Pray for Gen Z: We've launched an exciting new prayer initiative that spans in-person gatherings, Zoom calls, and also a podcast! Join us as we lift up the next generation in prayer and connect with them through various channels.
Dare2Share Live: Our mission to train and equip youth continues to thrive, with 74 students and leaders receiving gospel-advancing training and 75 more on November 8th. We're excited to promote Dare2Share Live in November and ignite the passion for sharing the Gospel across the state to reach our 3.4 million students. 1600 sites are now signed up in 68 countries…and Spanish is leading English sign-ups.
Camps for Christ: We've met with key camp directors and have a fantastic opportunity ahead. We're planning to train every youth camper in Gospel conversations during summer camps, potentially reaching over 250,000 young people and leaders in Baptist, Independent, and Assembly of God camps who can share all across the state with those around them.
Conclave: 400 plus youth leaders gathered at DBU early in the month and our NNYM of four hosted a booth with many coming by and learning about us. Great connections were made.
LIFT Events: (Lasing Impact for Teachers) We had the pleasure of encouraging 120 educators through our LIFT events in Dallas and Stephenville. Your support allows us to inspire and empower those who shape young minds.
PACT Mentors: We've recently trained 7 new PACT mentors for youth leaders in the DFW area. Your contributions help us expand our reach and support structure.
Resource Releases: We're delighted to announce the release of the "Awesome Way to Pray" project, consisting of a leaders' guide and a student journal, which is now available to every youth leader for free. Additionally, stay tuned for the upcoming release of the "Campus Connection" resource for campus ministry.
Fields of Faith: Multiple statewide events were attended with remarkable results, including inspiring some to consider ministry. We provided "Life Change" books for follow-up at five of these events.
Movement DFW: We've been investing significant planning time into the Movement DFW project, aiming to involve key leaders from every community. Our goal is to re-imagine the future of church and youth ministry, reversing the trend of students leaving their faith.
Accelerate: Activate Texas: The date is set for this crucial meeting with Key strategic leaders from all across Texas in February. We'll evaluate the past year and set goals for 2024-2025, guided by our shared vision of every student: every school.
Southwest Houston Network: We're actively involved in creating a healthy network dedicated to reaching every school in Fort Bend County through strategic prayer and planning. The Lamar CISD school system just sent out a flyer to all students asking if they would be interested in a Bible class and offering ½ English credit for it. We’re hoping that since Lamar is the fasting growing school district in Texas, the example will be set, and the Bible will be back in every school district. That’s a huge win!
Declaration Church: I was privileged to go with our worship team on a worship writing retreat. It was an incredible time and a great spiritual time of refreshing with friends from my home church.
Global: We are partners with “One for Israel” in Grapevine sending relief through on-the-ground team members. Also, our partner, Texas Baptist Men has served over 30k meals there through local responders.
In addition, we continue to encourage and develop youth leaders, build our networks, and develop new relationships to reach students. As our NNYM Texas team of 40 strategists, 37 local networks, 4 metro networks, and over 600 gospel-advancing leaders looks ahead, we're thrilled about the possibilities, knowing that together, we can continue to make a lasting impact in the lives of the next generation.
Your prayers and financial support have been instrumental in our journey, and we're deeply grateful for your partnership.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates and keep us in your prayers as we embark on this mission together!
With love and appreciation,
Rick Eubanks
(and the NNYM team)
