NNYM Texas 2023 Highlights:


Overview of Texas Stats:

  • 3.4 million students, 5000 schools, 254 counties, 200 juvenile facilities, and 24,730 churches.

  • 7500 youth leaders and over 50 strategists collaborating across denominations and ministries.

Network Expansion:

  • One-third of Texas schools have prayer/care/share ministries.

  • 37 local networks and 4 metro networks established.

  • Texas is divided into 25 regions; 20 are already covered by strategists.

  • Recruitment ongoing with PACT for mentorship.

Success Stories:

  • Corpus Christi A&M outreach: 1000+ college students, 124 baptized.

  • Hightower High School culture transformation: No incidents were reported after dedicated prayer.

  • Declaration Church’s 220 Camp: 23 students came to Christ, and 52 were called to ministry.

Resource Development:

  • Completion of a two-year project updating key guides for youth leaders.

  • Raised $12,000 to provide guides for free to youth leaders.

Key Metrics from 2023:

  • 125 students started a relationship with Christ.

  • Four mission trips and three sports camps conducted.

  • The Pray for Texas Schools Facebook page has over 500 participants.

  • Pray for Gen Z led by SW Houston Network has over 3000 participants from 47 countries.

  • 125 leaders trained in Jesus Focused Youth Ministry strategy.

  • Active participation in national conferences, including NCYC in Indianapolis.

Collaborations and Partnerships:

  • Collaborations with NXT Move, East-West ministries, One Hope, and Stephen Robertson (Author of Gen Z: Aliens Among Us)

  • See You at the Pole participation increased by over 35% in September, with outstanding participation across Texas.

  • Fields of Faith, FCA were highly successful across Texas in the Fall.

  • Continued collaboration with Dare2Share, resulting in training 275 leaders and students. (D2Share Live hosted 1700 plus sites in 72 countries, training thousands in gospel advancement globally)

  • Enlisted three new Texas NNYM staff members.

Future Plans (Early 2024):

  • Release and promotion of Campus Connections Field Guide and Awesome Way to Pray resources: www.campusconnections.info

  • Accelerate/Activate Texas: Gathering of key strategists in Central Texas.

  • Partnership with Texas Baptist Men for network development and disaster response.

  • Hosting “Claim Your Campus” and “Never the Same” events.

  • Movement DFW initiatives for student faith retention.

  • Collaboration with Steiger ministry for training pastors and youth leaders on reaching secular culture.

  • Goal to train 250,000 Gospel Advancing students and leaders at summer camps.

  • Aspiring to make every network in Texas a healthy, gospel-advancing network.
