November Update

"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
- Philippians 1:3-6 -

Dear Friends and Partners,

Paul's words for the Philippians go through my head often. Your belief in what we’re doing, your prayers, and your donations keep me fueled up to keep going for the sake of the next generation. If we want them to experience Jesus unlike any generation before, we can't stop. I am thankful for all you, and you are a part of everything we are able to accomplish.

Locally

+ I got to lead worship at Declaration Youth and Calvary Baptist Rosenberg, and meet with local youth leaders in the area.
+ We’re working with PACT, a group that mentors youth leaders, to equip leaders locally and across the state.
+ I was privileged to be onsite as Declaration Church broke ground for the new facility coming next year.

TEXAS & BEYOND

+ I had meetings with our key advisors, then had our first task force meeting at Dallas Baptist University in preparation for Movement DFW day in March, planning strategies and best practices to keep students from leaving the faith.
+ We helped 2 new networks begin in Arlington, and another online with 77 members.
+ We now have a “Pray for Texas Schools” Facebook page with around 240 members, with special thanks to Beaulah Kondur and Lesley Pyle for the connection.
+ Currently training/discipling two student pastors.
+ Planned a listen and learn tour with our West Texas and Georgetown leaders.
+ Began sharing the results of our research with key leaders, pastors, and influencers across the state. I got to share with SW Tarrant County pastors at FBC Burleson about the research and partnering for change across DFW.
+ Helped promote “Dare2Share” live. Over 1000 churches participated in training.
+ I led a week of reporting fellowships in South Houston, North Houston, and Burleson, to share what we’ve been able to accomplish, thanks to our financial and prayer support teams. Calvary Baptist, Rosenberg, Spring Baptist Church, Spring, and Oak Grove Baptist, Burleson, allowed me to use their facilities. A huge thank you to all who helped make those each a great event.
+ Work continues for Campus Strategists, and our national zoom meeting will be held today, December 1st.
+ I’ve been working with Declaration Church (where I am the missionary in residence) with their youth and assisted with their missions team in developing a long-term vision and action plan for missions.
+ Promoted the film “Because of Gracia” across Texas and NNYM in cooperation with Texas partner and Executive producer, Rodney Hatfield of Canyon Lake, Texas.

INTERNATIONALLY

+ I wrote two more Interlinc Bible studies that are distributed to 15,000 youth leaders globally.
+ The ministry helped pay for training a pastor and his wife in El Salvador through Links International. Jason, Holly, and Jacob Bollinger led the team there. We “house-sat” for them while they were away.
+ I am assisting our Declaration Student Pastor and friend, Travis Shaheen, and his family as they leave for India on Mission in January. They’ve applied with Links International for a financial and missions family base of operation, and I’m advising them on fundraising strategies.

FUTURE (key upcoming events)

+ In January, our NNYM National Staff meets in Tampa, Florida, to strategize and find best practices.
+ A listen and learn tour in West Texas and the I-35 corridor will happen early in 2023 to develop networking in these key areas.
+ Plans are underway for our Texas team meeting, “Accelerate Texas” in February, asking “how can we multiply exponentially” in networks and campus ministries around the state?”
+ In March, Movement DFW will meet and launch our collaborative strategy among churches and ministries in the DFW metroplex to reverse the trend of students leaving the faith.

Thank you for your generosity that is helping us continue the work of reaching students and training student leaders all across the world.
