June Update

Here is a quick overview of June. Many were trained and heard the gospel because of your prayer and financial investments. We are seeing some great things happen across the state as a result. Students are coming to Christ, getting baptized, going on mission, being called to ministry, developing as disciple-makers, and schools are being adopted. Churches are waking up to the need to “Grow Young” and our many partners with Accelerate Texas are working together in unity to see students remain in the faith.

TWO MISSION TRIPS
Our campus missionary team held a mission sports camp at Great Oaks in Richmond Texas. The church said, “It was probably the best yet”. Two weeks later, eleven of our team went to Portland, Oregon, and ministered with two church plants, sharing the gospel, and encouraging ministries. Their impact was great, and both churches would love to have the team back next year.

NXTMOVE DFW
In January, Movement | DFW joined NXT Move, a global ministry that addresses the issue of youth leaving the church and turns that around so that youth are leading the church! That relationship increases our ability to impact DFW and other ministries globally. This will happen by researching student culture, identifying challenges, and developing and implementing solutions collaboratively. We now have a full-time consultant with us, ready to begin working with our first 5-7 model churches. We met in June and are working to operationalize our plans.

UNITED IN PRAYER: Covering Our Students
Prayer is the first, best thing you can do to help! It’s a strategic step, not a last resort.

During August 12-16, NNYM will be rallying people for footprints on campus. Our objective? To pray for 67,000 schools and 1200 juvenile detention facilities across America. Will you join me? Here’s how!

1. Go to a local school and claim that ground in faith. (Joshua 1:3). Go with family, friends, your church small group, or prayer group.

2. Grow our prayer coverage by adopting a school to pray for throughout the year. This could be one of your group’s outreach missions for the year. www.everyschool.com.

3. Give to support the students ministries on that campus. You can get a deeper look at Footprints on Campus (click to link). It’s all about prayer for students.

If you would be willing to be a part of this challenge, let me know. I’m praying for 10 families or individuals from my support team to accept the challenge.

Pray that student leaders from schools across America will be a part of See You at the Pole 2024. It’s our 34th year. We’re praying for schools to be adopted and prayed over nationwide. Pray also as we build the Texas team and recruit more laborers.

NNYM is partnering with the Global Leadership Summit with a Nxt Gen track for youth leadership. We are hosting a group in Spring, Texas, and encouraging other networks to sign up. Thanks to our partnership, we can provide training and resources for them at a greatly reduced rate.
